Whale sharks of many different sizes visit the region in November and December and can approach very close to the shore. So dive operators can spend a lot of time searching for these animals in the Gulf of Tadjourah and hopefully getting their passengers into the water to swim with them.If you are very lucky, you might see these beautiful sharks on more than a one trip and if you are very lucky, you can see multiple whale sharks in a single trip.But, of course, these sharks are visiting because there is a food supply for them and that supply of food is plankton.
